I'm going to tell you a little bit about my journey to the pixie cut! It doesn't seem like a big deal but it took me 7 months to actually go through with it! It's a scary thing to go in and chop all that hair off! Even if it's already thin and shorter anyways. (Like mine was/is) I started thinking about it way back in January. I have done some fun stuff with my hair in the past but the way I cut it was always close to the same. I looked and looked at different pictures of hair cuts to find what I really wanted. The pixie cut was always in the back of my mind. I just thought I couldn't pull it off or I wouldn't know how to style it very well. It also... was a scary thought to cut it all off. My husband loves the pixie style, which is surprising because a lot of men love long hair. I went in for my first hair appointment in March. I couldn't do it! Instead I went with a shorter bob look. Which.. I LOVED!! My hair lady did a great job!! We added some blonde (before this I was all brown) and it turned out awesome! I then waited until July for my next appointment. I had a lot of regrowth and my hair needed a make over. I kept talking myself in and out of the pixie. Everyone at work thought.. Becca you have got to stop talking about it! That's when I decided, I need to stop talking about it and just go for it. If I don't I will never know what I would look like with a pixie and I will ALWAYS wonder. So.. I pulled all these pictures of pixies off of Pinterest. I had them ready to go for when I went to the salon. One of my main inspirations was Juliann Houghs pixie. I went into the salon that morning a little nervous. I showed Julie the pictures and said.. just do it! Just cut the pixie. She did it just how I wanted!! The first week I had a few withdrawals and thought my hair might never grow back. But... a month later and I am in love!! It is so fun to style and do different things! It is also quick and believe it or not EASY to do! So all you gals out there that are thinking about it.. Just do it!! Its hair.. it'll grow back right? I already feel like I need a trim. I am totally a pixie girl now and I just love it! I need to decide what I want to do next!
